The Brady Report - Winter 2016

Back in the day, when it came to making big progress on gun violence prevention, it often felt like we were dealing with a question of "if" we would ever be able to change things.

Case in point? The original Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act took six years and seven votes to pass Congress. Thankfully, it then went to a supportive president — President Bill Clinton — who signed the legislation and made it the law of the land.

Now that we've made it past Election Day 2016, it's time to look to the future. Together with the American public, we are united and ready to continue the hard work of Changing Gun Laws, Changing the Gun Industry, and Changing Our Culture.
