The Friday evening vigil was a success in attracting dedicated  participants and generating news media focus on the problem of gun violence in our country. The event was hosted by the Mount Diablo Peace and Justice Center and the Contra Costa Brady Campaign Chapter. It was one of several events being held in California this weekend. The State of California has been a leader in enacting stronger laws designed to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people.
