In loving memory of our only baby Teresa Soto Del Rio who was brutally taken away from us by an assailant with a 9mm weapon. We will never give up getting justice for you.
In 1999, Teresa was shot through her car door in Los Angeles by a “SHOOTER FOR GANGS” with a 9mm. He came out of the dark on foot as she was pulling her car out from her parking spot. Her girlfriend said Teresa saw that he was armed and tried to get out of the way. When he shot her, she said to her friend, “I’ve been hit and it hurts.” It took her five hours to die, she bled to death. The shooter had murdered two others in 1998 and had attempted murders and committed other violent acts.
Teresa was the only child of Anna and Fernando Del Rio of Los Angeles.
I am so sorry for your loss. I will light a candle for Teresa on January 8.
