March 24 - March for Our Lives
- March 24, 2018
- National march in DC; local marches across the nation
On February 14, 17 people were murdered at a school; on November 6, 26 were killed at a church; and on October 1, 58 were killed at a concert. ALL of these lives could have been saved if Congress had taken action beforehand to put reasonable gun laws in place. Join us on March 24, as we join hundreds of thousands across the nation to put laws in place to stop this carnage and make our country safe.
Call Your Senator - Ask Them to Support a Comprehensive Gun Proposal
On March 1, Senator (and Senate Minority Leader) Chuck Schumer (D-NY) came out in support of expanding Brady background checks, supporting extreme risk laws (ERPOs), and banning assault weapons. After President Trump's stated support for gun violence prevention on February 28, Schumer called for Trump to pull Senate Republicans on board with these sensible bills as well. Take action NOW to tell your Senator to support Schumer's proposal.
Email Your Congressman - Ask Them to Ban Assault Weapons
There is also a bill in the US House. Email your member of Congress to ask them to support HR 5087 to ban assault weapons. We’ve made it easy to take action here.
