Title: Global Terrorism Database

Publication Date: September 2011

What does it say?

The Global Terrorism Database (GTD) is a database that shows terrorist events, both domestic and international, from 1970 to 2010. Each GTD event has information about the date, location, weapon used, nature of target and casualties of the terrorist incident. The database includes events of terrorism where firearms are the weapon used by the terrorist.

How can I use it?

The datebase can be used to show the need for stopping terrorist and terrorist organizations from obtaining firearms within the United States, and show the destruction guns are able to inflict on a community.
