Title: Far-Right Attacks on U.S. Law Enforcement and Security Guards

Publication Date: June 2009

What does it say?

This press release reports research that there is a history of fatal attacks against law enforcement officers and security guards by individuals who adhere to far-right ideology.

The research found that 47 law enforcement officers and security guard have been killed since 1990 in cases where suspects were far-rightists. Guns were the most common weapons used in these fatal attacks, and over 80% of the victims were killed by guns. Many of the attacks occurred during routine police law enforcement work.

How can I use it? Keeping dangerous weapons out of dangerous people's hands is important if we are to protect our police and security personnel from these attacks.
