Senate Committee Passes "Owner Authorized" Handgun Bill!
Jun 24, 2008
A top priority bill, AB 2235, passed the Senate Public Safety by a vote of 3-2. This bill would require new handguns to have features like fingerprint or grip recognition so that only an authorized user can fire the gun. "Owner Authorized" handguns will help reduce injuries, homicides, suicides, school shootings, and accidental shootings in California. The bill now moves to the Senate Appropriations Committee.
