Court of Appeals Upholds Lawsuit Against Gun Industry

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit upheld a lawsuit brought by victims of Buford Furrow's shootings in the Los Angeles Jewish Community Center, and of a postal worker afterwards, reversing a trial court's dismissal of the case. The Court held that gun manufacturers and distributors owe a duty to use reasonable care in their sales and distribution of guns, and the manufacturers and distributors of the guns that Furrow used could be liable in negligence and public nuisance for the shootings. Protest at San Francisco Gun Show

Brothers Against Guns, a grassroots organization in the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood, which is plagued by gun violence, organized a protest at the Crossroads of the West gun show held at the San Francisco Cow Palace.
