Governor Jerry Brown sent conflicting messages to Californians today by vetoing key gun reform policies while signing other measures into law.
Keeping guns out of the hands of dangerous people remains a top-priority in California, including closing loopholes in the current law that allow criminals to buy ammunition without a background check.
Today the Obama Administration locked one backdoor used to get around Brady background checks. The Executive Orders issued by the Obama Administration and ATF begin to plug a growing hole in our nation’s Brady background check system and help limit the availability of military-grade weapons in the United States.
