CALIFORNIA BRADY CAMPAIGN RESPONDS TO WORKPLACE SHOOTING IN SAN FRANCISCO

Just hours after news broke of a shooting at a Congressional baseball practice in Virginia, shots were fired in a UPS building in San Francisco, CA. Multiple people have been confirmed dead and injured.

Peggy McCrum, president of the 28 California chapters of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, released the following statement:

"Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by this tragedy, and there is still a lot we don't know. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by such tragedy in our nation today and every day; the people of San Francisco, Members of Congress and their families, and every victim of gun violence today that we won’t hear about on the news. 93 people lose their lives to gun violence every day in this country, and even more are injured. That's unacceptable. All Americans, Congressmen or not, deserve to live out their everyday lives without the fear of being shot."
