WASHINGTON - Brady Campaign president Dan Gross issued the following statement on Megyn Kelly's interview of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, set to air Sunday. Jones has repeatedly decried the Sandy Hook Elementary mass shooting, and others, as hoaxes.

"This is exactly the kind of attention this sick man craves. Rather than give prime time face time to an extremist conspiracy theorist who cashes in on fear and fake controversies, Megyn Kelly should give air time to some of the hundreds of thousands of families who are affected by gun violence every year in our country. And rather than attempting to 'hold accountable' a self proclaimed performance artist, Kelly should hold accountable politicians who ignore massacres like Pulse and Sandy Hook – and the 93 gun deaths that take place across our country every day – and demand answers from them."

The mission of the Brady organization and its Million Mom March is to create a safer America by cutting gun deaths in half by 2025. For more insight on gun violence prevention, follow us on Facebook and Twitter @BradyBuzz.
