According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the vast majority of America’s federally licensed gun dealers (FFLs) follow the rules. More than 90% of gun dealers sell zero guns recovered in crimes. But there are just a few — those we call the “bad apple” gun dealers — that choose instead to profit off supplying the criminal gun market. In fact, about 1% of dealers sell nearly 60% of the guns used in crimes.
How do we stop these irresponsible gun sellers from flooding our communities with illegally obtained guns?
We can take matters into our own hands and force crooked gun dealers to stop being part of the problem of gun violence, and start becoming part of the solution – or else.
Our Stop Bad Apple Gun Dealers Campaign is a new national initiative to file lawsuits against corrupt gun dealers who supply our nation’s criminals, and mobilize the communities impacted by these crooked gun dealers to bring public attention and pressure them to change.
