San Fernando Valley Chapter Brings Wounded In America to VIVA Gallery
A poignant exhibit chronicling the suffering of gun violence victims comes to L.A. venues
This poignant and thought-provoking photo documentary and oral history project features survivors of gun violence and their stories. Each subject is photographed at the site of the shooting, and describes the life-altering consequences of the tragedy.
The exhibit tells the stories of 47 survivors of gun violence, but each symbolizes thousands of similar shootings each year in the United States.
Through the stories and pictures, the creators of Wounded in America bring a realistic picture of gun violence and its consequences to viewers of the exhibit. The goal is to spark open discussion that moves us to change our culture of gun violence. To learn more about Wounded in America, go to www.woundedinamerica.org.

- VIVA (Valley Institute of Visual Art) Gallery, June 25-July 19
