Brady's Solutions

Every year, over 100,000 people are victims of gun violence in the U.S. More than 32,000 of these victims die. To combat these unacceptable numbers we have an ambitious goal to cut gun deaths in half by 2025. We must address this issue through policy, legal action, and public health and safety. To achieve this goal, we need your help! Join us to:

Finish the Job:

Since the Brady law took effect in 1994, over 2.4 million prohibited purchases have been blocked and countless lives have been saved. But today, only 60 percent of sales are covered by Brady background checks. That’s why we need to change the laws and keep guns out of the hands of felons, domestic abusers, and other dangerous individuals.

Stop “Bad Apple” Gun Dealers:

Did you know 90 percent of crime guns come from just 5 percent of gun dealers? These “bad apple” gun dealers may be small in number but thave a large and tragic impact. We are determined to hold these gun dealers accountable and get crime guns off our streets by changing the gun industry.

Asking Saves Kids:

Guns in the home are a major public health risk and to fix it we must take a public health approach. In a country where nearly 1.7 million children live with an unlocked, loaded gun contributing to the nine children and teens who are shot unintentionally each day, it’s time to change our culture and encourage all parents to ask this life-saving question: Is there an unlocked gun where my child plays?
