On April 16, 2007, the nation was plunged into mourning once again when a student at Virginia Tech University went on a murderous rampage, killing 32 people. Sadness turned to outrage and we asked our nation's leaders:

Parker v. District of Columbia: A Threat to All US Gun Laws
In March, two right-wing activist judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals voted to overturn D.C.'s 30-year-old handgun law. Their decision defies 70 years of U.S. Supreme Court precedent, and if the decision stands, would put gun laws of every kind at risk.
If this case reaches the Supreme Court, it will produce the definitive judicial ruling on the meaning of the Second Amendment that will determine the fate of sensible gun laws for many generations.
