Law enforcement has been one of the Brady Campaign’s most important allies in our efforts to pass sensible gun laws to protect our families and to keep our communities safe from gun violence.

America’s police see the toll of gun violence every day – and they live it. They understand the importance of having and enforcing strong gun laws to keep dangerous weapons out of the hands of dangerous people. That is why they were key allies in the fight for Brady criminal background checks, known as the Brady Law.

Brady Law Enforcement Relations work closely with law enforcement organizations and individual officers throughout the country on public policy, safety education and gun violence prevention initiatives to reduce gun violence.

Law enforcement is at the forefront of the fight to stop gun trafficking. They have spoken out against restrictions on gun trace data, joined with us in efforts to keep guns out of the hands of terrorists and have signed on to important legal briefs. They have also been key in helping to pass state gun laws. Their voices add tremendous power to our life-saving efforts.

If you are a member of Law Enforcement and would like to contact us, please call 202-289-7319 and ask for the Law Enforcement Relations department. Thank you.
